About the client:
Our client is a Reputed Bank.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our banking client’s data team. The role involves designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and solutions on Microsoft Azure to support critical banking operations, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Develop and maintain data lake and warehouse solutions tailored to banking use cases.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with banking regulations (e.g., Basel III, GDPR, local financial authority guidelines).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to deliver secure and reliable data solutions.
  • Optimize performance of large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Implement data security best practices including encryption, masking, and role-based access control.
  • Support real-time and batch data processing for transaction monitoring and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and environments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years in Azure Data Engineering with at least 3 years in banking domain.
  • Strong expertise in Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark for data engineering tasks.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault, etc.).
  • Knowledge of banking domain data (transactions, customer data, risk, compliance).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in financial services.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
