AI Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic AI Roadmap & Technical Planning for Wearables (APAC): Define and implement medium-to-long-term roadmaps for AI algorithms and sensing technologies across the APAC region. Drive technical innovation and synergy in multimodal sensing, on-device AI inference, and Large Language Models (LLMs) integration for wearable devices.
2. Cutting-edge AI Insights in Sports & Health: Lead forward-looking research by actively engaging in international academic exchanges. Monitor industry landscapes and frontier trends in Machine Learning (ML), bio-signal processing, and digital biomarkers to provide strategic algorithmic insights for the intelligent evolution of wearable products.
3. Lead AI-Driven Proof of Concept (POC) & Prototyping: Spearhead early-stage validation and feasibility assessments for high-value opportunities. Lead the development and optimization of algorithm prototypes leveraging Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning to ensure technical viability and performance excellence.
4. Clinical Validation & Regulatory Compliance for Medical-Grade AI: Drive the medical device certification and registration processes for AI algorithms in target markets. Ensure that AI model transparency, data privacy, and ethical standards comply with regional regulations such as GDPR, MDR, and local healthcare authorities.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Architecture: Collaborate closely with global R&D, product, and marketing teams to design and develop scalable product architectures. Ensure that AI-driven technical solutions are perfectly aligned with business objectives and executed with high efficiency.
6. To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirement:

1. PhD degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related major.
2. Proficient in Python programming and major deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow; possessing a deep theoretical foundation and practical experience in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Biometric Recognition. Minimum of 5 years of experience in algorithm development for smart wearable products.
3. As a core member or lead, possesses at least two successful productization cases of core health-monitoring AI algorithmic features for smart wearables; experienced in the full-lifecycle R&D process from requirement analysis and technical solution design to mass production and delivery.
4. Experience in conducting technical collaboration projects with Universities, research institutes, and other organizations; capable of driving industry academia research cooperation and transforming it into actual products or technical achievements.
5. Possesses keen market and technical insight, with the ability to accurately grasp industry development trends and technological opportunities.
6. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
