Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are hiring an Business Analyst to support Agile application development and maintenance projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with business users, internal stakeholders and outsourced vendors to define requirements, track delivery, and support testing and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements elicitation and analysis through workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions
• Translate business needs into clear deliverables such as user stories, functional specifications, process flows, acceptance criteria and test scenarios
• Work in Agile project teams and support sprint ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Coordinate with outsourced vendors to track and monitor deliverables, milestones, and issue resolution
• Support both development and maintenance workstreams, including change requests, enhancements and defect triage
• Support UAT and QA processes, including test planning support, UAT execution coordination, defect tracking and closure verification
• Maintain documentation and traceability in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Support project coordination work where required (planning, status reporting, risk/issue tracking), including applying project management practices
  

Required Criteria (Mandatory)

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with experience working on Agile projects
• PMP certification OR demonstrated experience/practice in project management
• Experience supporting both development and maintenance projects, including UAT and QA processes
• Experience working with outsourced vendors, including tracking and monitoring deliverables
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)

Preferred Skills (Advantage)

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with government / public sector digital projects is an advantage
