Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and secure our next-generation AI-powered products and platforms. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and security engineering to ensure our AI systems are robust, reliable, and resilient against emerging threats. You will have direct impact on core business areas such as intelligent scheduling, recommendation systems, transaction security, and autonomous navigation.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: 

• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable and secure AI/ML models and pipelines for production environments, focusing on high-concurrency and low-latency requirements.

AI Security & Robustness:

• Implement defences against adversarial attacks (e.g., prompt injection, model evasion, data poisoning) across LLM applications and traditional ML systems.
• Develop and integrate security guardrails, including output filtering, toxicity detection, and prompt validation frameworks.
• Build tools for automated red-teaming, security testing, and vulnerability assessment of AI models and agents.

LLM Operations & Safety:

• Contribute to the development and hardening of LLM-based applications, including RAG systems, AI agents, and tool-augmented models.
• Establish safety and security baselines for model deployment, including access control, audit logging, and data leakage prevention.

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

• Partner with product, platform, and security teams to embed security and robustness principles into the AI development lifecycle (MLOps/Secure MLSDLC)

Research & Innovation: 

• Stay ahead of the curve by researching the latest threats in AI security and the latest advancements in defensive techniques.
• Prototype and productionize novel solutions for model robustness and threat detection.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experiences).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 3 years focused on AI security, adversarial ML, or model reliability.
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Proven experience in deploying and maintaining large-scale ML models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Deep understanding of modern LLM architectures, prompt engineering techniques, and the LLM application stack (agents, tools, RAG).
• Solid knowledge of security concepts: threat modelling, secure coding practices, and applied cryptography.
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML.

Highly Desirable:

• Published research or significant open-source contributions in AI security, robustness, or fairness.
• Experiences in one or more of varied business domains: recommendation systems, real-time scheduling/optimization, fraud/risk detection, or autonomous systems.
• Hands-on experience with adversarial attack/defense libraries (ART, TextAttack, Robustness Gym).
• Familiarity with security compliance standards and their implications for AI systems in Singapore and the region.
