Role Overview

The Principal Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of voice recording and telephony systems within MRT projects, spanning design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. This leadership role involves managing a technical team to ensure project milestones are achieved while maintaining rigorous documentation of design changes and test results. Additionally, the position requires strategic stakeholder management and technical contribution to tenders and bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• System Integration: Execute the design, testing, and implementation of specialized communication infrastructure.

• Project Leadership: Supervise engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet delivery timelines.

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with vendors and clients throughout the project duration.

• Technical Documentation: Produce as-built records, technical reports, and progress updates.

• Business Support: Provide technical costing and proposals for tenders and bids.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a comparable technical environment.

• Leadership: Proven ability in team mentoring, conflict resolution, and independent task management.

• Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the flexibility to adapt to dynamic project environments.
