Job Description

We are representing our client (An established IT technology provider) to look for a Lead Product Designer to lead user-centred design across the full product lifecycle. From generative research and concept validation through to delivery and post-launch iteration, while coaching client design teams to build lasting capability.

This is a consultancy role: you champion users relentlessly, design at scale, and are energized by  crafting great design.

Responsibility

  • Plan and run generative and evaluative research (interviews, usability tests, field studies) to uncover real user problems.
  • Synthesize insights into clear findings that shape product direction and validate or challenge assumptions.
  • Lead design on cross-functional teams, from concept to high-fidelity, with a systems-thinking mindset and scalability in mind.
  • Craft workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align teams around a coherent user experience.
  • Design and run co-creation workshops: journey mapping, design studios, critiques with clients and mixed stakeholder groups.
  • Present work to senior leadership; facilitate alignment sessions that drive decisions..
  • Coach client designers through daily pairing; tailor enablement to individual strengths, gaps, and learning styles.
  • Create psychological safety for teams to experiment, give constructive feedback, and continuously raise design craft.

Requirement

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience across the full design lifecycle.
  • User Centred Design mindset with experience in: user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and post-launch iteration in a consultancy or client-facing context.
  • Coaching: Proven experience enabling designers through pairing, workshops, or formal mentorship programs.
  • Tools: Expert in Figma; proficient with prototyping tools and collaborative platforms; able to build and maintain design systems.
  • Methods: Design Thinking, JTBD (Jobs-to-be-Done), Service Design, WCAG (WebContent Accessibility Guidelines) / inclusive design principles; evidence-based approach balancing qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Mindset: Empathy, User advocate; intellectually humble enough to kill your own designs when research points elsewhere; thrives in ambiguous consultancy environments.
  • Familiarity with SG Gov Design System (SGDS), SHIP-HATS, or prior work with Singapore Government agencies will be a plus
