Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Data Centre)

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Centre Operations Engineer to support daily operations of on-site data centre infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with hardware, cabling, and inventory, while working closely with local and regional teams in a structured, ticket-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support deployment and maintenance of on-site data centre physical infrastructure

• Install, replace, and troubleshoot hardware and network cabling

• Handle and manage data-bearing devices such as hard drives and solid-state drives in accordance with procedures

• Work within a ticket-based system to track tasks and incidents

• Assist with equipment movement using assisted lifting tools (e.g. pallet jacks)

• Support shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities during peak workloads

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

• Associate Engineer: Up to 2 years of experience in data centre operations, IT support, or monitoring environments

• Engineer: More than 2 years of experience in data centre operations, IT support, or monitoring environments

• Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) to support regional and global teams

• Comfortable with hands-on technical and operational tasks in a data centre environment

Certifications (Advantageous but Not Mandatory)

CompTIA A+, Server+, or Network+

Basic Structured Cabling (BSC)
