Job Description

Position: Data Centre Engineer (Contract)
Contract Period: Feb 2026 – Dec 2026
Salary Range: $4,000 – $5,000

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Data Centre Engineer with practical data centre experience. The role does not require deep technical expertise but demands familiarity with day-to-day operations and procedures within a high-risk data centre environment.

Coverage & Locations:

  • One full-time onsite engineer covering two locations:

    1. Kim Chuan Road

    2. Serangoon North Ave 6

  • Engineer will visit both sites as required based on workload and change planning.

  • Backfill will be provided for planned leave, sickness, or unplanned absence.

Responsibilities:

  • Work Monday–Friday, 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with occasional weekend overtime.

  • Manage change control, incidents, and service requests within agreed SLA.

  • Track and manage assets; update relevant documentation and inventories.

  • Supervise and escort third-party vendors.

  • Plan, implement, and decommission IT hardware and network cabling per strict Data Centre standards.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards, and security procedures.

  • Maintain Data Centre toolsets and governance processes.

  • Collaborate with facilities teams to maximize energy efficiency.

  • Support day-to-day operations including racking, stacking, moves, changes, decommissioning, patching, and basic server configuration (iDRAC, ILO).

  • Participate in major infrastructure projects, such as power outages and replacements.

  • Manage complex inter-rack and room cable infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar data centre role.

  • Experience working in high-risk environments.

  • Knowledge of DCIM tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy) is desirable.

  • Proficient in MS Office and service delivery applications.
