Assistant Finance Manager [Construction]

Location: North
Work Hours: 5 days work week (Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm)

Salary: Up to $6,000

Our client is a well-established company in the construction industry with over two decades of experience delivering residential and commercial developments in Singapore. They are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Finance Manager to join their growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily finance operations (full set of accounts, AP/AR and General Ledger)
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements
• Monitor project costing, budgeting, and variance analysis for construction projects
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders when required
• Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis
• Review and improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting systems
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Provide guidance to junior finance team members
• Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
• Experience with project costing and financial analysis is an advantage
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
