Role DescriptionThe Director of Cybersecurity Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, threat management, and operational security functions. This role ensures the protection of information systems, networks, and data against cyber threats while aligning security initiatives with business objectives. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and executing cybersecurity strategies and policies • Leading cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management • Overseeing security architecture, network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security initiatives • Managing cross-functional teams of cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and incident responders • Collaborating with IT, risk management, and business leaders to mitigate cyber risks • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.) • Conducting regular security assessments, audits, and reporting on security posture • Implementing cybersecurity awareness programs and training for employees • Staying updated on emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity best practices The Director of Cybersecurity Operations focuses on operational security leadership, incident response readiness, and strategic alignment of cybersecurity with business goals. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field • Extensive experience in cybersecurity operations, information security management, or IT security leadership • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, etc.) • Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams and managing large-scale security operations • Expertise in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and penetration testing • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities • Experience with SIEM tools, security monitoring platforms, and cloud security solutions • Ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide security strategies and risk mitigation plans • Strategic mindset with capability to align security initiatives with organizational objectives •
