Automation Engineer (DeltaV)

Kerry Consulting is partnering with a pharmaceutical client to appoint an Automation Engineer with hands-on Emerson DeltaV experience to support a critical project. This is a delivery-focused role, working closely with Process Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders across design, build, test, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Process Engineers to translate process requirements into practical control strategies and DeltaV configuration

• Configure and troubleshoot DeltaV (control/equipment modules, alarms, interlocks, permissives, HMI/graphics; batch exposure is a plus)

• Support automation documentation and testing including FDS/SDD, FAT/SAT, commissioning activities and IOQ support

• Integrate automation with process skids/equipment and instrumentation, ensuring smooth handover to operations

• Contribute to GMP-aligned execution including traceability, change control, and documentation standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation/Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation / controls engineering within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments

• Proven hands-on DeltaV configuration and troubleshooting experience
