Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior/ Associate Engineer, Test Equipment reports to the Test Manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of test equipment and hardware. Other responsibilities include supporting test hardware maintenance and setup for engineering activities and production ramp-up, performing required test correlation, FA/REL verification testing, and assist in new test equipment move-in and buy-off.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and maintain mechanical, electronic, and automated test equipment.
  • Follow protocols to ensure quality control and optimal test equipment performance.
  • Identify the cause of machine problems and implement permanent measures.
  • Conduct machine ESD, grounding check and implement measures to ESD check findings.
  • Collaborate with engineers to diagnose issues and improve systems.
  • Document testing procedures and results to improve equipment utilization.
  • Ensure workplace safety and maintain an organized environment.
  • Uphold 6S standards within the shop floor environment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum diploma in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a testing and debugging environment.
  • Familiar with the Advantest, Teradyne, Cohu tester platform.
  • Familiar with TEL, Accretech, and SEMICS prober operation.
  • Familiar with Turret and Pick-n-Place handler operation.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with lots of ambiguity.
  • Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift work/duty.
