Job Title: Application & Platform Engineer (2-Year Contract)

Employment Type: 2-Year Contract (Convertible based on performance)

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and technically inclined Application & Platform Engineer to support and manage enterprise-level applications and infrastructure. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about modern technologies and eager to work in a high-impact, large-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned applications, ensuring smooth operations, stability, and performance
• Perform system and application patching, upgrades, and ongoing support
• Support enterprise architecture environments (3-tier / microservices-based systems)
• Work closely with development teams on integration points such as APIs, messaging, and file transfers
• Manage containerized environments and support deployment of applications
• Ensure system security, backup, recovery, and operational best practices
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives (DevSecOps practices)

Core Skills (Top 3 Must-Have)

1. Container Platforms & OrchestrationHands-on or academic exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShiftUnderstanding of containerization concepts and deployment
2. Integration & Messaging SystemsFamiliarity with tools like IBM MQ, APIs, or messaging conceptsBasic troubleshooting or configuration knowledge is a plus
3. Enterprise Application ArchitectureUnderstanding of web applications, microservices, and 3-tier architectureExposure to large-scale or distributed systems (academic or professional)

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud platforms
• Understanding of DevSecOps concepts and automation
• Knowledge of system patching, backup, and security practices

Experience Requirement

• Preferably 1–2 years of relevant experience
• Open to fresh graduates with strong fundamentals, learning agility, and a proactive mindset
