Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical finance professional to oversee critical daily and year-end closing operations, primarily in Accounts Receivable and Asset Management. This role involves analyzing financial transactions, identifying anomalies, reviewing policies, and supporting financial transformation initiatives within a dynamic public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Closing

  • Oversee critical and time-sensitive daily and year-end closing activities.

  • Ensure timely completion of monthly reconciliations (bank, deposits, development projects), ageing reports, and asset transactions.

  • Maintain system management processes to ensure smooth operations.

Financial Analysis & Compliance

  • Apply appropriate accounting treatments and financial policies to ensure accurate transaction recording.

  • Analyze financial transactions to identify anomalies and operational risks.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, government fiscal guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Perform data analysis leveraging automation and digitalization tools to support management decision-making.

  • Review and enhance policies and procedures by engaging stakeholders to address operational concerns.

  • Support transformation, digitization, and change management initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Advise users on financial processes and policy requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational and financial issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable and Asset Management, Public Sector experienced.

    • Supervisory experience preferred for Senior position.

  • Technical & Analytical Skills:

    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capabilities.

    • Experience in data analysis and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

    • Proficiency in automation and digital tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, or UiPath is advantageous.

  • Knowledge:

    • Good understanding of Government fiscal policies, processes, and systems.

    • Experience in transformation and change management projects will be a strong advantage.

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
