Infrastructure Engineer (Contract/12 Months)

Job Description

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate windows server software package provisioning, baseline configurations, feature/role installations, and deployment processes across Windows environments.

• Design, implement, and maintain Puppet manifests, modules, and Hiera data to enforce desired state configuration management across Windows Servers, ensuring consistent provisioning, application deployment, security hardening, and drift remediation.

• Build PowerShell-based monitoring and health checks for system performance, services, event logs, disk space, and automated remediation of common issues; develop complementary Ruby scripts for advanced parsing, custom metrics aggregation, or cross-platform monitoring integrations.

• Automate security hardening tasks with PowerShell (e.g., policy application, weak protocol disabling, local sec pol management, and audit checks) and enforce equivalent hardening on Windows systems using Puppet modules and best practices.

• Design and integrate PowerShell, Ruby, and Puppet automation into CI/CD pipelines for Windows and hybrid infrastructure, including testing, validation and deployment of scripts/IaC

• Troubleshoot complex Windows OS automation workflow issues using PowerShell diagnostic tools (event log analysis, connectivity tests, process/service inspection).

• Generate automated reports and compliance audits via PowerShell, Ruby (for advanced formatting/processing), and SQL (query database and aggregation) covering patch status, user accounts, configurations, Puppet drift detection, security posture, and regulatory needs.

• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and platform teams to integrate PowerShell and Puppet automations with broader tools (ensure secure and scalable workflows and maintain cross-platform consistency in hybrid Windows environments.

Job Requirements

• Possess good technical knowledge of Windows Operating System (2016, 2019 & 2022), Citrix, VMware, SSH, RDP, IIS & Hardware knowledge. Certification in Microsoft/Citrix and knowledge in Debug Analysis will be an added advantage
