Project Overview We are seeking a skilled Linguistics professional specializing in English (Singapore) linguistics or dialectology to work as a project consultant in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position — you will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis. Location: Singapore, Singapore Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work Work Type: Remote This project engages linguistics experts to evaluate AI-generated text across multiple English dialects and regional standards. Contributors will assess grammatical correctness, naturalness, stylistic appropriateness, and dialect-specific usage in model outputs. This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated completion time. Consultants control their own schedule, provide their own tools, and may simultaneously provide services to other vendors/employers (subject to those vendors’ allowances). Responsibilities: Contributors will: • Evaluate AI-generated text for grammatical correctness and linguistic naturalness across English dialects • Compare multiple model outputs and select the most linguistically appropriate option • Assess dialect-specific usage across regional English variants • Identify syntactic, semantic, or stylistic issues in generated text • Provide concise written explanations supporting linguistic judgments Expected Outcomes: • Completed evaluation tasks with structured ratings • Expert linguistic judgments regarding grammar and dialect appropriateness • Short written explanations supporting evaluation decisions Qualifications: • Master’s degree or above at a university in Singapore • Background in English linguistics, sociolinguistics, dialectology, or World Englishes preferred • Native or near-native proficiency in English (Singapore) • Experience conducting linguistic analysis or grammaticality judgments • Ability to clearly explain linguistic reasoning in written English
