Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business objectives.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the budgeting process and prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis, identifying cost savings, financial risks, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure tax compliance and manage tax filings, liaising with external tax consultants when necessary.
- Maintain and enforce financial controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, including providing guidance and performance reviews.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business expansion.
- Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Support the CFO in strategic financial planning, including mergers, acquisitions, and investment activities.
- This role involves travelling up to 50-75% of your time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or relevant certifications preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on financial management.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore’s financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (to deal with Chinese-speaking counterparts).
- Prefer immediate availability.
