Overview:
The Cloud Engineer (Architect) is responsible for developing and implementing architectural designs based on cloud service provider principles and best practices (Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform). This role leverages cloud services to ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and resiliency.

The incumbent will lead the development of the Cloud Migration Practice, elevating technical execution and delivery through various cloud migration approaches. The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external vendors/partners to ensure successful cloud migrations, providing expert recommendations, and driving strategic and operational goals.

The Cloud Engineer will also develop and execute strategies for large-scale migrations for customers transitioning a substantial number of applications to cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate cloud application requirements and provide architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Provide best practice guidance on architectural design across multiple applications.
• Identify and define technical requirements for cloud-based applications.
• Design cost-efficient, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems on cloud platforms.
• Deploy and manage network, storage, and database services in the cloud environment.
• Recommend best practices for building secure, reliable, and compliant cloud applications.
• Conduct deep-dive discussions on cloud architectural principles, global infrastructure, networking technologies, and security tools.
• Participate in various migration strategies including re-hosting, re-platforming, re-factoring, and re-architecting applications.
• Support database migration and application optimization using scalable cloud design patterns.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Minimum of two professional certifications such as:
  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying cloud architectures on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Strong experience in:
  Cloud Strategy (application assessment, migration planning, and operating model design)
  Cloud Security Architecture and Compliance (e.g., KMS, CloudHSM, Inspector, Macie, IAM, Shield, WAF)
• Proven experience in at least two cloud implementations or migrations.
