Application Support Engineer (Manufacturing / Automation Systems)

Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and system components
• Provide 24/7 Level 1 & Level 2 support to ensure smooth operation of production lines
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve system performance and availability
• Gather user requirements and develop new automation solutions, particularly for Equipment Manager systems
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system enhancements and processes
• Plan and conduct user training for assigned applications
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including productivity enhancements and cost reduction projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Semiconductor, Manufacturing, or High-Tech production environments
• Experience in supporting factory automation or manufacturing systems
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot under pressure
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Knowledge of SECS/GEM (SEMI Equipment Communication Standards)
• Familiarity with TIBCO (TIB/RV) messaging systems
• Experience in equipment or factory automation systems
• Prior experience in a semiconductor fab environment is an advantage

Work Environment:

• On-site role in a high-technology manufacturing facility
• May require after-hours or on-call support to support production operations
