Assistant Manager (Accounts Payable) - WCAN

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-spectrum accounts payable, including invoice processing, payments, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Lead and supervise the AP team (including outsourced staff) to ensure compliance with accounting policies and SOPs.
• Ensure purchase documents are complete, approved, and accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Oversee timely submission of withholding tax (WHT) and maintain commission and royalty records.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash availability for timely payments.
• Work closely with the GL team on reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Approve vendor creation and guide PO users and approvers in Navision.
• Prepare AP reports, audit schedules, and expense variance analysis for management reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and external audit requirements (including EduTrust compliance).
• Act as a finance business partner to internal stakeholders and resolve operational issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (ACCA preferred) with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, vendors, and trainers.
• Experienced with Navision or similar ERP systems; proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Able to multi-task and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
