Job Summary
Support and implement Beijer Electronics automation and HMI solutions for marine automation systems. Develop expertise through structured training while working on marine and industrial projects involving HMI, PLCs, industrial networks, and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Support automation projects by configuring and implementing Beijer Electronics HMI, PLCs, software, and connectivity solutions to meet project requirements
- Assist in system configuration, programming, testing, and commissioning of marine automation systems to ensure operational readiness
- Develop HMI applications using Beijer tools such as iX Developer and web-based HMIs to enhance user interface functionality
- Troubleshoot and analyze faults during testing, commissioning, and site support to maintain system performance
- Collaborate with senior engineers on marine system integration, including machinery monitoring and control systems, to ensure seamless operation
- Provide technical support and coordinate with internal teams, partners, and customers to resolve issues and facilitate project progress
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and assist in system handover and acceptance to ensure compliance and knowledge transfer
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics/Automation, Control & Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
- Fundamental understanding of industrial automation systems, PLC concepts and I/O, HMI/SCADA concepts, and industrial networking including Ethernet and basic TCP/IP
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exposure to marine systems such as ship automation, machinery monitoring, or offshore systems
- Proficiency in English communication; Mandarin language skills are a plus
- Willingness to learn new automation platforms and attend site work and commissioning as required
