Position Overview
The Specification Engineer is responsible for preparing and managing technical specifications for waterproofing systems to ensure compliance with design requirements, client expectations, and industry standards. The role works closely with architects,engineers, consultants, and internal teams to support project specifications,product approvals, and tender documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage technical specifications for construction projects
- Review project requirements, drawings, and related documents to ensure specifications are accurate and aligned
- Work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams on technical documentation and project support
- Evaluate materials, products, and system proposals to ensure compliance with project and performance requirements
- Support tender submissions, technical proposals, and procurement documentation
- Respond to technical queries and provide specification-related support during project execution
- Maintain and update specification records, approved material lists, and technical documentation
- Monitor market trends, product developments, and project requirements in the industry
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline
- Experience in technical support, specifications, project documentation, or construction-related roles
- Candidates with experience in waterproofing, building materials, architectural products, or construction systems will have an advantage
- Familiarity with tender documents, technical submissions, and project specifications is preferred
- Strong technical writing, coordination, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work well with different stakeholders
