Control and Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design and Development:Creating control systems for manufacturing operations, robots, and other industrial machinery. This includes designing electrical systems (power, communication, data), using PLC programming, robotics, and sensor technologies.
• Implementation and Integration:Installing, integrating, and maintaining automated systems, ensuring they function correctly within the existing infrastructure. This may involve working with vendors and contractors.
• Programming and Configuration:Programming and configuring programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
• Testing and Troubleshooting:Conducting tests and inspections to ensure automated systems function properly and troubleshooting any issues to minimize downtime.
• Optimization and Process Improvement:Analyzing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing automation solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Documentation and Training:Creating detailed documentation of system designs, maintenance procedures, and training materials for users of the automated systems.
• Safety and Compliance:Ensuring compliance with safety standards and developing safety protocols for automated systems.
• Project Management:Managing automation and control system projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring timely completion.
• Collaboration and Communication:Collaborating with other engineers (electrical, mechanical), manufacturing personnel, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
