[Mid / Senior] Software Engineer - High Availability Systems (Java / Python / Golang)

Your new role

You will design and build systems end to end including prototyping, architecture design, production grade development, cloud deployment and ongoing reliability while driving new technical initiatives from concept to implementation. In this role, you will also identify impactful opportunities, craft creative solutions that navigate complex constraints and clearly communicate these ideas to diverse stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Champion effective engineering and operational practices, setting strong foundations for how teams build, ship, and maintain software.
• Provide broad technical direction across multiple product areas, helping teams make sound architectural and implementation decisions.
• Mentor and uplift other engineers by sharing your knowledge, offering guidance, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Contribute to hiring efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and shaping a high‑caliber engineering team.
• Shape what gets built by helping define problem spaces, evaluating opportunities, and guiding teams toward impactful solutions.
• Apply your technical expertise to create new systems or leverage existing tools and industry best practices to deliver meaningful outcomes efficiently.
• Embrace a culture of rapid experimentation and ownership, turning ideas into prototypes quickly and driving initiatives from concept to execution.

Job Requirements

• Proven ability to design and build software through real-world work or personal projects, demonstrating practical skill over formal credentials.
• Strong problem solving abilities, including writing code to tackle open ended challenges, troubleshooting effectively, and knowing how to assess the trade offs of different approaches.
• Comfort discussing and reasoning about code with others, ensuring solutions are communicated clearly and understood within a collaborative engineering environment.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative, challenge existing processes, and drive meaningful change without waiting for direction.
• A genuine motivation to contribute to work that benefits society, with the judgment to stand firm when decisions need to align with the greater public good.
