Data Center Support Engineer - Project (URGENT/IMMEDIATE)

1. NOC Engineer / Network Support Engineer

Job Description:

We have urgent project work requiring parties with basic data center NOC experience, starting immediately. The work salary is $40/hour and requires graveyard or night-time shift. Please contact us with your resume detailing specific related experience.

Work requires:

- Console in to servers that are not up using KVM (Keyboard, Video Monitor, Mouse) to check the status of the server.

- Troubleshooting servers that can't boot up, diagnose boot failures, GRUB and BIOS issues.

- Checking network cables to ensure they are properly connected.

- Any other hands-on data centre work wherever necessary.

– Monitoring of the company's servers and network infrastructure.

– Responding to any detected alerts and issues and performing basic troubleshooting.

– Liaising with 2nd level support to investigate and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

- Basic system administration on Linux and Windows Servers.

Experience

- Related work experience in data center or valid projects

- Diploma or degree in related computer science or similar discipline

Required skill-sets:

– Basic knowledge on server hardware and operating system (Linux and Windows). – Basic knowledge on network protocols such as TCP/IP

– Knowledge on KVM (monitor, keyboard, mouse) to connect to server in the data centre.

- At least 1 (one) year of prior experience as a data center or NOC engineer.
