Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Manage full sets of accounts including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of accruals and deferrals
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

2. Inventory & Cost Management (Key Focus)

  • Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliation of stock levels
  • Track vendor-managed inventory and third-party stock locations
  • Monitor and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Identify and explain procurement and operational variances

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and internal controls
  • Support external audits and prepare required documentation
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare-related financial regulations

4. Regulatory & Tax Compliance

  • Manage multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (e.g., GST, sales/use tax)
  • Ensure alignment with healthcare regulatory frameworks impacting finance

5. Systems & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Utilize ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for financial operations
  • Act as a key liaison between finance, sales, and supply chain teams
  • Improve processes to ensure efficient and accurate financial data flow


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience (healthcare / medical device / distribution industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, inventory accounting, and compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
