Job Description

This is a critical senior role for a Technical lead to lead the full lifecycle development of cutting-edge underwater robotic solutions. The position demands a technically strong leader with a systems-thinking approach, business acumen, and a passion for innovation in autonomous maritime systems.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • System Development Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through the entire system development lifecycle for integrated underwater robotics and maritime technology solutions.
  • Requirements & Architecture: Translate customer operational needs into precise technical requirements, define system architecture, and manage interface control and integration planning.
  • Execution & Oversight: Oversee design, development, integration, testing, validation, and deployment activities, ensuring solutions meet stringent performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Technical Risk Management: Proactively manage technical risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycles, conducting thorough design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, FAT, SAT).
  • Technology & Roadmapping: Drive technology development by identifying emerging trends in underwater robotics, evaluating and prototyping new technologies, and defining future product directions through technology roadmaps.
  • Proposal Development: Contribute to business growth by developing technical proposals, solution architectures, and cost justifications.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with technology partners, research institutions, and vendors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Computer, Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics, or related fields).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, with proven team leadership and expertise in system integration and field deployment.
  • Specialized Advantage: Experience in autonomous systems, underwater robotics, maritime systems, or marine/subsea operational environments is highly beneficial.
  • Leadership & Communication: Possess strong leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skills (including technical proposals), and effective stakeholder management abilities.
