Job Description & Requirements

1 yr renewable contract

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical architecture, technology stack, and integration patterns (microservices, APIs, modern databases)
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems (COBOL) into Spring Boot–based microservices
• Design and develop high-performance, scalable applications using Spring Boot and Spring Batch
• Oversee end-to-end system design, development, and deployment
• Translate complex business logic into maintainable, high-quality code
• Develop and manage the technical roadmap, aligning with business and enterprise standards
• Implement and enforce engineering best practices (CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing)
• Design and manage API integrations with core banking, data warehouse, and reporting systems
• Support real-time and batch data processing for high-volume transactions
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and legacy system SMEs to ensure accurate system transformation
• Mentor and lead development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in Technical Lead / Architect roles
• Strong expertise in:Java, Spring Boot (REST, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA)Spring Batch for high-volume transaction processingPostgreSQL (advanced queries, indexing, transaction management)
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitOps practices
• Strong experience in microservices architecture and system modernization
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and large-scale projects
