Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and high-performance applications using modern technologies.
• Define system architecture and ensure best practices in software design and development.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs, microservices, and enterprise-level applications.
• Promote agile methodologies and ensure efficient sprint planning and execution.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex system and application issues.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from requirement gathering to deployment and support.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to track progress and manage risks effectively.
• Establish coding standards and conduct code reviews to ensure maintainability and performance.
• Optimize application performance and implement best practices in testing and debugging.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical implementations.
• Deliver solutions tailored to client-specific requirements and industry standards.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve system capabilities.
• Lead integration efforts across systems including APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise tools.
• Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including .NET 8.0 and .NET Framework 4.5/4.8, with proficiency in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Solid experience working with Entity Framework, LINQ, and Razor for application development.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, XML, AJAX, Bootstrap, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, and modern frameworks like ReactJS and AngularJS.
• Experience in database development and management using SQL Server and MS Access.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, including exposure to Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments.
• Familiarity with Azure services including KeyVault, API Management, App Services, Redis Cache, and Virtual Machines.
• Strong experience in API development and system integration using REST APIs, SOAP services, and microservices architecture.
• Experience integrating with authentication and enterprise systems such as SingPass, CorpPass, Active Directory, and secure file transfer protocols (SFTP).
• Proficiency in development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, as well as low-code platforms like Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience working with third-party UI and charting tools such as DevExpress, Telerik, Highcharts, and Kendo UI.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies including unit testing, integration testing, and manual testing.
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
