SOC L1 ANALYST

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated SOC L1 Analyst to serve as the first line in our cybersecurity operations. The role focuses on continuous monitoring, detection, and initial triage of security incidents, ensuring rapid response and escalation to protect organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls in real-time
• Perform initial analysis and triage of security events and incidents
• Identify potential threats such as malware, phishing, unauthorized access, and anomalies
• Escalate confirmed or high-risk incidents to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation
• Follow predefined incident response playbooks and SOPs
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for audit and compliance purposes
• Assist in vulnerability monitoring and basic threat intelligence analysis
• Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance, and operational standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
• Basic understanding of:Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)Security tools (SIEM, Firewall, Antivirus, EDR)Operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and documentation abilities
