Job Description
Introduction
• The Associate will be part of Temasek’s investment team covering APAC markets (excluding China and India), supporting the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of investments across sectors.
• This role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle within a long-term, value-oriented global investment platform.
Responsibilities
• Support the identification, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across APAC markets (excluding China and India) across private equity, public equity, and fund investments/co-investments.
• Identify and evaluate market and industry trends, as well as conduct research to form views on the sectoral value chain and craft investment thesis.
• Support workflows such as conducting due diligence, performing financial benchmarking and valuation analysis, and crafting a financial model.
• Support the team in the end-to-end investment and divestment process, including preparation of presentations and investment memos for internal evaluation and committee approval.
• Monitor performance of existing portfolio companies and support the team’s portfolio company engagements and value creation initiatives
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields
• Preferably 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a top tier buy-side firms (private equity), investment bank, or corporate finance / corporate strategy, and M&A
• Analytical with strong foundation in financial modelling and valuation capabilities
• Proficiency in research platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other data sources
• Familiarity with AI-enabled research tools and automation platforms to enhance analytical productivity is advantageous
