We are seeking a KYC/AML Compliance Specialist to perform detailed KYC/SOW assessments for client onboarding and periodic reviews. The ideal candidate should have good working knowledge and experience in KYC analysis and SOW assessments, with strong knowledge of benchmarking standards. Responsibilities include validating client narratives, assessing risk, and providing feedback to improve compliance quality. The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office teams and other control support partners to maintain high standards of data integrity and regulatory adherence.
YOUR ROLE
• Review customer's source of wealth (SOW) information submitted by RM, perform an independent review and assessment of the information submitted.
• Assess and ensure the relevance and completeness of CDD information supplied by Front Office and perform appropriate due diligence checks and information searches to comply with bank standards of client onboarding.
• Advise Front Office on the onboarding requirement in accordance to Bank's AML/KYC standards and regulatory requirements and partner with Front Office to meet the requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of client account periodic reviews.
• Review escalations pertaining to Change of Circumstances, including but not limited to change in account structure, beneficial owner and authorized signer.
• Highlight deficiencies, suspicious AML or other non-compliance issues to relevant parties and management.
• Keep abreast of global AML/CFT developments that impact client due diligence and ensure compliance with all other controls and processes.
• Review transaction monitoring alerts, unblocking transactions, conduct investigations and assist with the filing of STR, where necessary.
• Prepare reports for management reporting to facilitate relevant reviews and strengthen the control procedures and process.
• Involvement in projects for new processes or industry initiatives, and internal/external audits.
YOUR PROFILE
• At least 5 years’ working experience in KYC/AML areas, risk or controls functions, preferably in Private Banking
• Familiar with regulatory requirements pertaining to KYC/AML and especially Source of Wealth (SOW) corroboration
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with Front Office stakeholders
• Committed, able to work independently and contribute proactively as a team member.
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational, analytical, excellent time-management and creative problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Certifications in AML such as Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or International Compliance Association Diploma in Anti Money Laundering would be an advantage.
