An exciting opportunity has come up for a Legal Manager. Reporting to the Legal Director, you will be part of the HEINEKEN Legal Affairs team that deals with a wide spectrum of legal and compliance matters. Specifically, you will assist the Head of Legal in providing strategic, timely and commercially aligned legal support to its Singapore and export-oriented businesses, Asia Pacific Breweries (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“APBS”) and HEINEKEN Asia Pacific Beverages Pte Ltd (“HAP Bev”). Your responsibilities will include, amongst others, reviewing and preparing legal documents, advising on relevant laws and regulations and ensuring compliance with local legislation and global policies from HEINEKEN Legal Affairs. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Legal Advisory: Deliver accurate, pragmatic, and commercially-sound legal support to functions across APBS and HAP Bev, enabling teams to execute high‑quality decisions at speed. Stay current on legislative and regulatory developments in Singapore and relevant global jurisdictions, distilling such changes into concise and practical guidance for the business. • Contract Review & Negotiations: Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and legal documents (such as distribution, licensing, sponsorship or collaboration agreements), while balancing commercial objectives against risks. • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor and member of the Leadership Team, working closely with senior members of the APBS and HAP Bev Management Team to shape strategic decisions and support critical commercial initiatives across the business. As part of the wider global HEINEKEN Legal Affairs team, you will engage with global legal departments and undertake any projects or other commercial transactions as may be assigned, including cross-border matters and strategic legal initiatives. • Litigation Management: Identify and investigate potentially contentious matters and develop clear resolution strategies, liaising with external counsel where necessary to manage litigation effectively and in a cost-efficient manner. • Compliance: Oversee compliance and training on applicable laws and regulations, such as in the areas of Privacy, Business Conduct and Competition law. Where necessary, you will liaise with global colleagues on executing HEINEKEN’s policies, driving policy adoption and promoting a strong culture of integrity and operational compliance in HEINEKEN. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • At least 3-5 years of legal experience, with ideally a minimum of 2 years gained at a reputable law firm (excluding practice training period) in a corporate, dispute resolution or regulatory seat/department. • Experience in retail or FMCG sectors a bonus but not required. • Strong fundamentals in Singapore law: good command of Contract, Company law and dispute resolution processes in Singapore. Ideally, you possess experience in Competition law, Intellectual Property and/or international sale of goods. Experience with other legal jurisdictions or in an international environment is beneficial but not required. • Robust drafting skills and attention to detail: demonstrates precision, clarity and the ability to simplify complexity. • Sound business acumen: ability to translate legal considerations into clear, actionable solutions to complex business issues. • Bachelor of Laws (LLB); Admitted to the Singapore Bar. • Communicate clearly, build strong working relationships and influence decisions effectively. • Demonstrate accountability, integrity and the ability to earn the trust of stakeholders. • Exercise independent judgement while being able to work collaboratively. • Manage time and priorities well in a fast-paced, international environment. • Adaptable, curious and demonstrates a growth mindset.
