Accounts Manager (Food & Beverage)
Job Summary
The Accounts Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts in the F&B sector, ensuring accurate billing, healthy margins, and strong client relationships. The role bridges operations, finance, and sales to support profitable, compliant, and efficient F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned F&B customers for all account and billing matters.
- Coordinate with operations, kitchen/production, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate order processing, delivery, and invoicing.
- Monitor account performance, including sales, margins, credit terms, and payment status, and highlight variances to management.
- Review and verify sales orders, delivery orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy before billing.
- Track outstanding payments, follow up with customers on overdue invoices, and work with finance to resolve billing or statement disputes.
- Prepare regular account reports (sales by customer, product mix, rebates, discounts, credit notes) for management review.
- Support pricing updates, menu changes, and contract renewals, ensuring all changes are reflected correctly in the system.
- Work with the operations team to analyse food cost, wastage, and profitability at account level, and suggest corrective actions.
- Handle customer feedback or complaints related to billing, pricing, or service, and coordinate resolution with relevant departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, F&B regulations, and internal controls related to revenue, discounts, and credit.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of sales, accounts receivable, and key customer statements.
Financial / Accounting Duties
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records for assigned F&B customers.
- Reconcile customer statements of account and resolve discrepancies in quantities, prices, or credit notes.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all outlets (full-time & part-time), ensuring salaries are paid accurately in line with company policies and local regulations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for key accounts by providing historical sales, volume, and margin data.
- Monitor credit limits and payment patterns; recommend credit risk actions where necessary.
- Knowledge of MOM employment regulations and foreign worker policies for F&B.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AR, revenue recognition, credit notes, reconciliations).
· Proficiency in English and Thai, to communicate with Thai speaking vendors
· Knowledge of Thailand Food Ingredient market – manufacturer, wholesaler, and distributors
· Assist on sourcing, evaluating and negotiation of stocks required, both locally and from Thai food ingredient vendors
- Good knowledge of F&B operations (menus, cost of goods sold, wastage, promotions, outlet operations) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems; familiarity with POS or F&B systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to work with chefs, outlet managers, customers, and internal finance teams.
- Detail-oriented, with strong follow-up and time management skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, key account management, or finance role, preferably in F&B.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced F&B or hospitality environment is an added advantage.
