Job Description

Job Summary

Join as an Associate Engineer supporting test process or equipment operations in a manufacturing environment, driving product yield improvement and operational efficiency through hands-on troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and production support.

Responsibilities

  • Support test-related activities including setup, verification, and yield analysis to enhance product quality
  • Assist with product configuration in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and test applications to ensure accurate production data
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis to identify and resolve product and process issues, improving yield and performance
  • Maintain, repair, and support test equipment and hardware such as loadboards, probecards, and handlers to ensure operational reliability
  • Assist in equipment setup, buy-off, and new product introduction (NPI) activities to facilitate smooth production launches
  • Monitor equipment performance and conduct preventive maintenance, including ESD and grounding checks, to minimize downtime
  • Identify equipment or process issues and collaborate with engineers to implement effective improvements
  • Track hardware usage and maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance and traceability
  • Support production ramp-up activities and ensure smooth day-to-day manufacturing operations
  • Provide guidance and training on work procedures to enhance team competency and adherence to standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with 6S standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing environments; fresh graduates with relevant exposure are welcome
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor test processes, equipment, or manufacturing systems
  • Familiarity with ATE platforms, handlers, or probers
  • Exposure to equipment such as Advantest, Teradyne, Cohu, TEL, or similar systems
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, C, or Perl
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including 12-hour shifts
